Privacy Policy

AbleFix ("the app") is a Shopify app that scans a store's storefront pages for accessibility issues, helps merchants fix them, and generates an accessibility statement. This page explains what data the app accesses, how it's used, and how to have it removed.

What we collect

  • Store identity: your shop's myshopify.com domain, used to associate scan results and settings with your store.
  • Product and theme data: product titles, types, variants, image URLs, and existing image alt text (via the Shopify Admin API), plus the HTML of a small set of storefront pages — used only to run accessibility scans and suggest alt text.
  • Scan results: the accessibility issues found, their severity, and fix status, stored so you can review and track them over time.
  • Optional contact email: if you turn on weekly monitoring, the alert email address you provide, used only to send you regression notifications.

We do not collect or store any of your customers' personal data. AbleFix never accesses order, checkout, or customer records — everything above is scoped to your store's products, theme, and app settings.

Third parties we use

  • Cloudflare hosts the app and its database (Workers, D1).
  • Resend delivers monitoring alert emails, if you've opted in — it receives the alert email address and notification content only when an alert fires.
  • Sentry receives error reports if something in the app breaks, to help us fix it. These reports are technical (stack traces, request paths) and aren't intended to include personal data.

How long we keep data

Your store's data is kept for as long as the app is installed. If you uninstall AbleFix, all data associated with your store — scans, issues, alt-text records, statements, and settings — is deleted automatically. You can also request deletion at any time by contacting us below.

Your rights

AbleFix supports Shopify's mandatory data-protection webhooks (customer data request, customer redaction, and shop redaction), and responds to shop-level erasure requests by deleting all associated data.
